On October 27th, the National "Thirteenth Five-Year" Science and Technology Innovation Achievement Exhibition was successfully concluded in Beijing. With the theme of "Innovation Drives Development, Towards a Powerful Country with Science and Technology", the exhibition is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Equipment Development Department of the Military Commission, the Science and Technology Commission of the Military Commission, and the Beijing Municipal People's Government.

 

At around 3:45 p.m. on October 26, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the State, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, visited the National "Thirteenth Five-Year" Science and Technology Innovation Achievement Exhibition. During the exhibition, members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee Li Keqiang, Li Zhanshu, Wang Yang, Wang Huning, Zhao Leji, Han Zheng, and Vice President Wang Qishan visited the exhibition respectively.

 

As a leader in IoT products and services for smart mines, NextDay Technology's "Precise Location and Search for Mine Personnel and Early Warning System for Major Disasters" was invited to participate in the exhibition.

 

"Mine personnel precise positioning and search and major disaster early warning system" is the research and development result of the 13th Five-Year National Key Research and Development Program "Coal Mine Emergency Response and Rescue Technology Research 2016YFC0801800". The achievement was developed and implemented by Shenzhen Yiri Technology Co., Ltd. under the leadership and guidance of the project leader, Professor Sun Jiping of China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), and achieved a complete success. Among them, the integrated positioning base station based on UWB technology is the most advanced product in the field of precise positioning at present, which solves the technical problems of distance measurement and direction judgment within the range of 30cm between base station antennas.

 

Coal is the main energy source in my country. Accidents such as gas, water, fire, roof, and rock burst have plagued the safe production of coal mines. At present, coal mine accident discovery and alarm are mainly done manually. There are problems such as late discovery, long reporting time, and slow response. The emergency rescue response time is long, which will miss the best golden rescue time. Especially when all the people at the scene of the accident are killed, the accident will not be discovered in time. Based on this background, Yiri Technology and China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) have successfully developed a precise positioning and search and major disaster warning system for mine personnel. This is the only way to search for people in distress in mines at present, and provides a new method for mine flooding, coal and gas outburst and rock burst warning.

The precise positioning, search and major disaster warning system for mine personnel is based on UWB ultra-wideband precise positioning technology. Under the condition of a wireless coverage radius of 400m, the positioning error is not greater than 0.3m, which realizes the precise positioning of all mine personnel, and has the advantage of being in distress. Personnel search, mine floods, coal and gas outbursts, rock bursts and other major accident warning functions.

 

The main innovations of the system include:

 

1. Propose a method of searching for people in distress in mines based on positioning cards, which can find people in distress and victims covered by coal and rocks at a depth of 1m, and is the only way to search for people in distress in mines at present.

2. Propose a method for early warning of major disasters in coal mines based on the positioning system, which provides a new method for early warning of mine floods, coal and gas outbursts and rock bursts.

3. Successfully developed the precise positioning technology for mine personnel, which improved the positioning accuracy of mine personnel from 3m at the time of project establishment to 0.3m.

At present, the precise positioning and search and major disaster early warning systems for mine personnel have been popularized and applied in more than 10 large and medium-sized coal mines across the country to avoid or reduce mine floods, coal and gas outbursts, rock bursts and other major accidents, and increase the risk of distress. The efficiency of search and emergency rescue of victims has reduced accident casualties and promoted the safe production of coal mines.
