Beijing News (Reporter Ding Yiting) The reporter learned from the National Mine Safety Supervision Bureau: In recent years, the intelligent construction of coal mines has made positive progress. In 2015, there were only 3 intelligent mining working faces in coal mines across the country, 275 in 2019, and 494 in 2020, an increase of 80% year-on-year; 19 types of robots, such as coal mining, anchor drilling, and inspection, have been implemented in coal mines application.

During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, the national mining industry structure was continuously optimized, 5,464 coal mines with a production capacity of 940 million tons were eliminated, and more than 19,000 metal and non-metal mines and tailings ponds were rectified and closed.

"Although the mine safety production work has achieved remarkable results in recent years, the situation is still complicated and severe." Huang Yuzhi, director of the National Bureau of Mine Safety Supervision, introduced that there are currently 32,000 non-coal mines in the country, of which small mines account for 86.4%; 300,000 tons There are more than 960 small coal mines per year, and 1,084 coal mines that have been shut down for a long time; most of them are backward in technology and equipment, with low quality of personnel and poor safety management.Huang Yuzhi revealed that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, key projects such as intelligent construction of mines, elimination and withdrawal of backward production capacity, major disaster management, and comprehensive management of tailings ponds should be implemented, and strive to further optimize the mining industry structure by the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan". Significant progress has been made in the modernization of the security governance system and governance capacity.
